exactEarth has been acquired by Spire Maritime!
The merger means that we are better positioned to serve your maritime AIS data needs. We believe that this business combination will enable us to offer you a broader and richer set of advanced data and analytics for more confident decisions.

As a part of the process, we closed the exactEarth’s website on February 8 and directed all the traffic to spire.com/maritime, where you can find Spire Maritime’s enhanced product portfolio.

We are very excited to participate in Riviera Maritime Media's Vessel optimization webinar week! Beginning 24 May, Riviera Maritime Media will be hosting a series of webinars focused on a variety of different aspects of vessel optimization.

Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) support sharper decision making and a competitive edge, especially when it comes to understanding and predicting trade flows, managing and monitoring emissions and optimising vessel performance. New applications are fast emerging that will drive transparent vessel operations and reporting.

Join us as we cover:
• The environmental value of persistent real-time monitoring
• The importance of situational awareness in just-in-time arrival concepts
• Cargo tracking and monitoring
• Tapping into shipping’s vast under-explored data resources
• Long-range wireless radio frequency technology
• Lessons learned from the Suez Canal blockage

Panelists include:
Dr. Mikael Lind, Adjunct professor in Maritime Informatics, Chalmers University of Technology and Senior Strategic Research Advisor, Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE)
Kevin Moyer, Director of Strategy, HawkEye 360
Jouni Salo, Business Development and Ecosystems, Unikie
Peter Mabson, President, CEO and Director, exactEarth

NEWS ALERT: The microsatellite (“ESAIL”) is now fully operational!

Launched in September 2020, was developed under ESA's ARTES Partnership Project and will provide additional global ship tracking data for our customers. We are pleased to add ESAIL to our global constellation, which consists of more than 60 high-performance maritime monitoring payloads. ESAIL is capable of both on-board detection and spectrum collection for ground-based processing, and these unique capabilities are expected to set a new standard for Satellite-AIS vessel detection. We would like to thank ESA - European Space Agency and LuxSpace and their satellite manufacturing team for their accomplishments in producing this cutting-edge microsatellite.

👋 Meet our first speakers: Eric Nallon at Commonwealth Computer Research and Taylor Nicholls at exactEarth will share how they work together to generate a port boundary layer using AIS data, machine learning and AI. ⛴

Eric and Taylor will be sharing insights on how they work together to generate their port boundary layer using exactEarth's AIS data and CCRi machine learning and AI — including how they filtered and clustered historical AIS data and layered on top of the World Port Index (WPI).
