Keep an eye out for turtles on their journeys across our roads this spring!

If you see a turtle crossing the road and are able to assist, always make sure to use your vehicle's blinker indicators, help guide the turtle in the direction it is facing, and if you have to move it yourself, always try to use gloves as turtles do carry diseases.

If you are handling a turtle, make sure to stay away from its face, and pick it up from either side, holding the belly and shell as picking it up by the shell may injure the turtle!
