Renewable Forest Services Ltd. is currently seeking permanent full-time intermediate and junior forest engineers to start work on one of our North Island or West Coast contracts.​
​
🌲ᴊᴜɴɪᴏʀ ꜰᴏʀᴇꜱᴛ ᴇɴɢɪɴᴇᴇʀꜱ:​

- Minimum 6 months to a year of experience in layout and design of conventional and helicopter based harvest systems.​
- Able to run and plot deflection lines.​
- Experienced in boundary, road, and stream traversing.​
- Possess a technical diploma or degree in forestry or have significant experience in this field.​
- Able to communicate and work well with others in a professional environment.​
- Need to be in good physical condition.​
- Current knowledge of Roadeng, Trimble GPS operation, Microsoft Word and Excel.​
- Valid driver’s license​

Renewable Forest Services Ltd. is currently seeking a permanent full-time GIS Analyst to work out of our Campbell River office. Working with the Operations Forester, you will provide critical project support to our field teams collecting, correcting, assembling, analyzing and storing geo-spatial and tabular data according to prescribed standards. You will support our client’s needs for timely GIS analysis and mapping products. You will need to have strong inter-personal skills and be able to effectively manage the workloads of several projects alongside our Senior GIS Analyst & GeoDB Administrator.

Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Geography, Computer Science, ArcGIS or Natural Resource sector or related discipline (or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar position).
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience utilizing ESRI ArcGIS or TFM and other software packages related to the forest, mining or oil&gas industries in conjunction with GIS analysis and map production.
- Experience with LiDAR integration and VIA DTM processing is highly desired.
- Excellent communication skills, including report compilation, technical writing and data share agreement administration.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in producing forest development or logging plans GIS maps, with ArcInfo, Spatial Data Engine (SDE), and Oracle.
- Knowledge of RoadEng and GPS data collection/correction is an asset.
- Experience with IT asset management and or network administration would also be considered an asset.
- Experienced with Land Resource Manager (LRM).
