I got a basket weave stamp. I'm trying it on a catch tray. The stamping came out pretty good but the tray is not taking the shape I want. Oh well, try and learn. I will just make another one better.

I polished off the dog collar with the tooling and antique finish yesterday. It took a long time to dry and the tooling turned out pretty good for my first time. My favorite part is the "holly" detail. A touch of softness to the toughness of the leather piece. I will definitely be making more of these in the future. More tooling to come!

I am trying out some stamping for the first time on a dog collar from a strap cut off. It is an interesting learning curve as every stamp needs different pressure.

I've got some more material and am cooking up some ideas. Starting with a card holder for my business cards.
I would love some suggestions for projects to try if anyone has any ideas.

I was asked if I would make up an item as a donation for a silent auction. I was struggling to pick what to make as I wanted to create something anyone could use. Not everyone carries a knife, not all phones are the same size, wallets aren't for everyone, and not everyone is the same belt size.
But... everyone has a credit card and membership cards, and everyone has change. I am not one to buy a template so I spent the weekend designing a pouch that will fit twenty cards comfortably and a couple good handfuls of change. I like to use the computer to design but that wasn't in the cards for this project so I turned to the old fashion pen and paper. It is the first pouch I have made with a sewn in gusset and I am pretty happy as to how it turned out.
Built for the everyday, Mitchell Made.

Here is a quick custom phone pouch I put together the other day. The red thread is popping in the black leather. Such a cool contrast. I like this combination, so I may have some other ideas for some products. 🤔

A small phone pouch for a customer who didn't want his device in his pocket anymore. I went with a classic two slit back for the belt loop to keep it as flat as possible.

When your son's pants are falling down because he needs to carry his "phone" around, you come up with a quick solution! Just a quick little belt to keep the hands busy while drinking the morning coffee. Mitchell Made to outlast and be ready for anything.

I am using up the small bits of scrap leather I have sitting around. I don't carry a zippo, but if I did, I would like to keep it protected in my pocket, and have it look cool too! I might try and make some bic lighter slips as well.
