This adage was very popular with past icemakers at our club. Our new ice field and rocks certainly reduce complaints but curlers do tend to blame ice conditions or rocks while not evaluating their own abilities. 😉

Comment from someone that believes in rescue:
It drives me crazy when I see a dog returned after 24 or 48 hours cause “they didn’t fit in”. A rescue takes weeks or sometimes months to “adjust”. Trust me if Charlie (adopted from Angels, now 14) could talk, most days he’d like to return Zoe (she’s only a year)
😂😂😂 but these are both Angels dogs so it’s pretty cute 🥰
Don’t lose faith in the pet you’ve chosen to adopt. You’re not perfect, your kids won’t be and neither will your pets. It’s a commitment, like with family members.

Silver Tree Studio Opening Friday May 22 6-10 pm

Lynne Harrison & Sonja McDowell and are opening Silver Tree Studio in Canmore – soft launch on Friday May 22 from 6-10 pm at #104 – 729 Main Street Canmore AB (right next to the dollar store and across from the CIBC).

Our Studio will be a blend of beautiful women’s clothing, and vibrant art.

Sonja has the amazing all natural fibre women’s clothing in silk, linen, cotton, wool, bamboo, at her current store on 4th Street in Mission in Calgary called NIKOLA. Sonja makes beautiful jewellery as well, and will host beautiful accessories to go with her all-natural fibre clothing. This will be a second location for Sonja.

I will be showing my paintings – from Chiefs, to landscapes, and my new series “Wild Horses of Alberta”. 10% of my sales from my “Wild Horses of Alberta” series will be given to the Wild Horses of Alberta Society to assist with their costs related to rescuing endangered wild horses, vet bills, stabling, etc.

I will also be selling my art cards, prints, giclees, and jewellry as well.

Grant Randell from Black Dog Character Log in Canmore, will be showcasing some of his beautiful western red cedar pieces !!

We hope that you can join us as the amazingly talented Ellen Doty will wow us with her jazzy vocals.
