S&L WasteTech Inc. is a family owned and operating business located outside Casselman, Ontario. We specialize in the manufacturing of custom waste removal containers, as well as the installation of Ampliroll Hooklift kits.
We are currently looking for a reliable, hardworking, and skilled welder to join our team.
Experience / Skills:
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Experience using power tools and hand tools effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and equipment maintenance
- Experience in manufacturing or construction environments
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-pace environment
- Dependable work attendance
- Able to work well with others as a team
- Able to reliably commute to our location
- Able to keep their work space organized and clean
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working in a shop environment
Employee will:
- Operate a MIG welder with various thicknesses of mild steel
- Operate various equipment to prepare material for welding (ex. band saw, manual plasma cutter, shear)
- Operate a horizontal band saw to cut various types of steel (tubing, channels, angle etc.)
- Operate a manual plasma cutter
- Weld components using welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizonal, overhead)
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of area after completion of a job (ex. sweeping, return equipment to proper location etc.)
Additions:
- Work clothes allowance
- Welding helmets supplied in shop (standard and PAPR)
- Welding equipment supplied in shop (gloves, safety glasses, knee pads, sleeves, jackets etc.)
- Company work hoodies, long sleeves and t-shirts supplied
Hours of Operation:
Monday to Thursday – 7am to 5pm
Friday – 7am to 12pm
