Are you thinking that 2026 will give you a break from rising energy rates? Think again.

Ontario homeowners will face the effects a newly proposed 72.6% hike for 2027, after absorbing an effective 15% increase in November 2025.

Ontario Power Generation has filed a request to nearly double nuclear charges to pay for the "long-past-its-prime" Pickering Station. This will increase the price of nuclear power purchased by your utility to power your home or business.
