#3. To properly determine charge the following is required: Out door temperature,
Indoor wet bulb temperature then refer to charging chart
For required superheat or sub cooling
temperatures.

If your central air conditioning installer doesn't do the following your system will be in-efficient and may not last for for more than 6 yrs:
#1 Clean refrigerant lines and evaporator coil ( evacuate using a vacuum pump down to min 500 microns)
Micron gauge required
Before introducing refrigerant into lines.
#2 charge system according to super heat or subcooling ( depending on what type of metering device used on indoor coil)
Metering device should be explained by salesperson,
Pro's and con's.
