The little shop that could.
In February 2004 the shop I where I was working in Chapleau, Ontario lost their lease and decided to close. I had been running that shop since 1996, and I didn’t want to leave the town. Against all odds, and with a great amount of support from the community, I was able to open my own shop within 8 weeks. Since then our community has underwent great changes like mill closures, natural disasters, new mining projects getting started. In short a lot of changes. We have endeavored through it all to service the industries in our small town and keep things running smoothly. We have added capacity by investing in new machinery, keeping up on the advances in technology by attending the largest manufacturing show on earth 3 times. (once with our whole crew going) We have also tried our best to help educate the youth in our community by participating in many co op programs through the 2 high schools and also by the summer youth employment programs. I truly believe that we not only take but also give back to be successful in any community. I truly appreciate the continuing support I have received from industry and individuals in Chapleau. I will always continue to do my best to service your needs in whatever way I can.
