Imagine opening your front door and stepping straight into your kitchen.
No landing spot. No place for wet boots, coats or school bags. Everything that came in the door came into the room where the family actually lived.
That was this home. Beautiful house. But the front door had no buffer.
So we gave the mess somewhere to go. We designed a mudroom addition with a covered entry and cedar posts, so the front door finally starts somewhere that can handle it.
Before anything was built, the owners walked through it on screen and made the calls while changes were still free: where the door lands, where the bench goes and where the hooks sit.
Now the living space stays a living space.
