First boler frame replacement of 2025 is in the books.
Check out the before and after photos to compare the ride height from the old 50 year old axle to the new 0° Dexter torflex axle. There is over a 3.5" height difference.

The old original frames were made from light weight thin walled 16-gauge (1/16 of an inch thick) rectangle tubing and came in at a total weight of 122kg with axle and wheels.
The frames we build here at Old Skool Welding are 13kg lighter with a total weight of 109kg. Built from 3/16" aluminum plate, (that's three times the thickness!!) and formed into a 6" channel. These frames are massively stronger than the original. The 6" channel goes the full length of the frame and fully boxed at all load transferring positions, addressing the structural weak points of the original frame.
We also take great care to reduce the effects of corrosion by only using high-quality stainless-steel fasteners and isolation plates between aluminum and steel components.
