Yesterday, our team wrapped up an incredible project at the Cornwall Water Tower. Starting bright and early at 5:30 am and working hard until 7:30 pm, we poured roughly 610 yards of concrete which is approx. 2.5 million pounds!

A big shoutout to Schurman Concrete for hauling and supplying the concrete from their plants in Summerside, Charlottetown, and Montague. This project wouldn’t have been possible without their dedication and support.

A huge thank you to our dedicated crew for their effort and precision on this massive job. The work done here will help support the ongoing development in the Cornwall area.

About Us

Over our many years in business, WM&M have built commercial, industrial and institutional builders ranging in size with the largest being over twenty million dollars. Position Summary Assisting Project Managers in the construction of commercial and industrial properties/buildings from start to finish. (Please note that this is not a Junior Project Manager/PM, this role is office based and is administrative in nature).

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare forms and sheets needed by sub-contractors including purchase orders, site instructions, project contact sheets.
Collect subcontractors’ Health and Safety policies Insurance Certificates, and any other legislated documents which will be distributed to site staff by this individual.
Collect subcontractors’ information i.e., warranties, certificates, drawings, and prepare and distribute all close-out documents for manuals in electronic format.
Ensure most current project drawings are available and accessible
Coordinates the flow of information internally via preparation of memorandums or email communication on behalf of the PM.
Prepare, key in, edit and proofread correspondence, change orders, invoices, publications, reports, forms and distribute accordingly.
Sort, process and verify applications, receipts, expenditures, forms, and other documents.
Organize meetings required by PM; record and prepare minutes of meetings when required.
Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages.
Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures.
Assist Site Staff with distribution of project documentation
Gather start up documentation at the onset of the project, including such documents as notice of project, project insurance, site orientation program and site trailer & W/C.
Other duties or projects as assigned from time to time.

Strong keyboard skills;
Working Conditions

Typical office hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Light to infrequently moderate physical effort. Requires handling of light and moderate weight objects including office equipment and other office supplies and, frequently, sitting for prolonged periods of time while using the telephone and computer. Salary: $16.00 /hour + Vacation

We’re looking for a motivated individual to help and assist with picking up and delivering materials to our jobsites across PEI. This individual will be responsible for maintaining open communication with all job foremen throughout the company. This individual will also help in maintaining and tracking inventory to ensure adequate inventory levels are kept.
Job Description:
• Responsible for picking up and delivering materials to different jobsites across PEI
• Communicating with personnel on jobsites and helping in anyway
• Help maintain clean and safe jobsites
• Keeping a log of tools and other material transferred between jobs

Requirements:
• Valid Drivers Licence and clean drivers abstract
• Ability to lift ~50 lbs
• Ability to work alone
• Openness to learn new technologies and techniques
• Must be a self starter and team player
