🏠🔨 Roofing Phase Begins

Big milestone on this build — we’re officially starting the roofing stage today.

After completing the structural framing, installing the roof sheathing, and finishing the waterproofing, we’re now moving into the final step to close the structure: installing the shingles. This will fully seal the house and bring the project to a proper watertight finish.

It’s always satisfying to see a structure go from framing to a fully protected home. One step closer to completion.

🏨 Another project wrapped up this week.

Our crew completed a carpet installation at the Delta Hotel, including flooring work and the stairs. Always satisfying seeing everything come together clean and properly fitted.

Even smaller projects require attention to detail to make sure everything lines up properly and looks right in the space.

Good work by the team getting it done.

🏗️ Framing Stage Complete

We’ve officially wrapped up the framing phase, including roof sheathing and waterproofing, bringing this build very close to a fully closed shell.

Next up we’ll be installing the roof shingles, which will complete the exterior protection of the structure before the project takes a short pause.

It’s always exciting to see a project reach this stage — when the structure truly starts to feel like a home.

Delta Hotel Carpet Replacement Project

We recently completed a carpet replacement at the Delta Hotel after the existing flooring was affected by deep stains that could not be removed through cleaning.

Our team removed the damaged carpet, prepared the surface, and installed new carpet to restore a clean, professional look for guests and staff. The refreshed flooring improves both appearance and cleanliness while maintaining the high standards expected in hospitality spaces.

Framing Progress Update 🏗️

Over the past month we’ve made strong progress on this build. Roof trusses are fully installed, wall and roof sheathing are complete, and exterior insulation is underway as we prepare to close in the structure.

Our final goal before pausing work is to complete the waterproofing and weatherproofing, ensuring the home is protected before the rainy season begins. Once funding resumes, we’ll continue pushing toward the next phase.

Second Floor Framing – Next Steps 🏗️

We’re moving into the next phase of the build with the second floor framing underway. The exterior is partially sheathed, and the current focus is completing the rough framing—setting walls, tying the structure together, and preparing for roof trusses.

This stage allows us to finalize alignment and structural details before the remaining sheathing is completed. Once rough framing is finished, we’ll proceed with:
• Completing exterior wall sheathing
• Installing the weather barrier
• Waterproofing the building envelope

This sequence ensures everything is properly aligned and ready to be sealed tight for the next stages of construction.

Second Floor Truss System Installed 🏗️

The second floor truss system is now in place, providing a solid structural platform while protecting the first floor from weather exposure. With the trusses set, the lower level is now covered, allowing interior work to continue while we move ahead safely and efficiently.

This step is a major milestone in the build, locking in floor structure, load paths, and overall stability as we prepare for the next phases.

Framing the first floor isn’t just about standing walls—it’s about precision. This level becomes the foundation for the entire structure above, including the second-floor system.

✔️ Walls must be straight – any bow or twist now will multiply upstairs
✔️ Walls must be level and plumb – floors, ceilings, and finishes depend on it
✔️ Layout must be accurate – joists, trusses, and loads rely on this alignment

Every plate, stud, and line matters. If the first floor is true, the second floor goes up faster, cleaner, and stronger. If it’s off—even slightly—you’ll fight it all the way to the roof.
