At Hawboldt, you’ll witness the design, manufacturing, and testing of world-class engineered equipment built for marine, offshore, and ocean science applications.
🌎 SOME OF THE PROJECTS WE’VE BUILT
• LS-24 lightweight aluminum winches for the R/V Shackleford research and hydrographic survey vessel
• 20-ton hose handling marine cranes for Shell Deer Park
• Containerized AUV Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) for the University of Gothenburg’s Antarctic mission
🛠 WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Report to the Manufacturing Manager
• Supervise Assembly Department operations
• Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards
• Prepare schedules, assign work, and manage deadlines
• Inspect work to ensure quality and specification compliance
• Maintain ISO 9001 manufacturing standards
• Attend weekly production meetings and report progress
• Provide labour estimates for manufacturing projects
• Support hiring and personnel decisions
👤 WHO YOU ARE
✔ Experienced in heavy equipment manufacturing and leadership
✔ Strong technical understanding of mechanical assembly
✔ Positive, team-oriented leader with a strong work ethic
✔ Passionate about learning, improvement, and problem-solving
✔ Able and willing to work overtime when required
✔ Licensed Millwright, Mechanic, or equivalent experience preferred
