Another recent project from December: For this one we packed our bags, loaded up a brand new 24KW Generac and automatic transfer switch into the sprinter and took the ferry over to beautiful Duncan, BC.
This customer's entire heating and cooling system relies on BC Hydro utility power, so when the power goes out in the middle of winter, no more heat! After a 2 day power outage in November, they were convinced it was time to get a reliable alternate energy source.
At the same time, we moved their electrical service meterbase to the front of their property and moved the conductors underground. Now they can enjoy the beautiful view outside their front steps, without looking at overhead power lines!
Feedback from this customer has been so positive! They don't fear the winter storms like they used to! One less headache for these awesome people!

Recent project from end of 2024:
Mist Thermal Sauna and Cold plunge

Located on Bowen Island, these new huts were prefab built by Minibuilt structures in Chilliwack then delivered via truck and ferry to Nectar Yoga Retreat, located on Bowen Island, BC. All electrical work completed by Big Bear Electric.

Lots of prep and planning involved getting power to the site and in the rough in stage on this one as the roofs for all 8 buildings needed to be removed then reassembled upon delivery! Designed to elevate your sauna experience into the surrounding West coast forest, the saunas are situated on vertical platforms so while you are sweating it out, it feels like you are in a treehouse! If you are Bowen or just need a getaway check this place out! Super cool!
