What's Actually Going On Underground?

A church in Surrey got flagged by the city by a sewer inspection showing buildup at a fitting and a belly in the line. They called us in to run our own camera and pinpoint the problem before we quote the repairs.

This is exactly how it should be done. No guessing. No digging blind.

We sent our camera down, confirmed the city's findings, and located everything precisely. The line runs roughly 8 feet deep across the parking lot to the back of the building, and there's a belly sitting 7' feet under a fully finished kitchen in the basement.

The plan: tackle the parking lot section now, leave the kitchen for a future phase when the client's ready. Smart approach, keeps costs manageable and lets them plan ahead.

Oh, and while we were at it, we found a few other surprises under the kitchen sink. 👀 Always something.

Most homeowners in Chilliwack don't know they have a Poly-B problem until the ceiling caves in.

Poly-B (grey plastic water pipe) was installed in thousands of Fraser Valley homes from the late 70s through mid-90s. It was cheap, it was fast, and insurance companies have been quietly declining or surcharging policies because of it for years.

We scoped a home in Sardis last week, the homeowner had no idea her entire supply system was Poly-B. One fitting had already started weeping behind the drywall. Another six months and she'd have had a flood on her hands.

We repiped the whole house in three days. Drywaller followed behind right after. No mess, no drama, full peace of mind.

Lately we've been getting a lot of calls for no hot water and furnaces not firing up and in many cases, it's not a plumbing or heating issue at all.

Fortis BC Contractors are actively upgrading smart meters across BC right now. When contractors swap out your meter, they don't always turn the gas back on when they leave.

Before you call us (or anyone), take 30 seconds and check your gas meter on the side of your home.
