This year, Freeman Marine, a proud legacy brand of AdvanTec Marine, celebrates its 50th anniversary! We recently gathered in Gold Beach, Oregon, where it all began in 1975, to honor the vision of our founders, Dugie Freeman and Bo Shindler.

For five decades, we’ve been setting the standard for strength, safety, and innovation. Today, our watertight doors, hatches, portlights, and windows are trusted on commercial, defense, and specialty vessels worldwide, including critical U.S. Coast Guard and Navy programs.

A massive thank you to our incredible employees, partners, and customers who have made this half-century journey possible. We are excited to continue building on this strong foundation!

We will be attending the Navalia International Shipbuilding Exhibition in Vigo, Spain, taking place May 19–20, 2026.

Our Business Development Manager Antonio Vidal and VP, Marine Group Matt Kirby will be on site, connecting with partners and industry professionals throughout the show.

We’ll be showcasing Freeman Marine hatches alongside our distributor Baitra at Booth 1A12, giving attendees the opportunity to see our solutions up close.
