Introduction to the Owner: Harold Richert
For over 22 years, Harold managed the Malibu Club, a high school kids camp set in a remote location at the head of the Princess Louisa Inlet on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia.
His job involved overseeing the entire camp operation, which can accommodate 400 guests, as well as overseeing over 100 full and part -time staff. Along with the duties as manager, he also managed Malibu Yachts, a for-profit company that operates a 375 passenger ship from its base in Egmont British Columbia.
During his 22 years, alongside the managerial duties, his job also included the contracting and project managing of over 23 million dollars of construction at the Malibu Club. This included major renovations, new construction and several infrastructures such as sewage plants and hydro- electric plants. Also during this time he constructed several projects outside of the Malibu Club for private owners.
Prior to his time at Malibu, he and his wife Terri operated a construction company in the Vancouver area for 18 years. They built over 150 homes for clients as well as on speculation.
He has always believed in doing things with excellence and with the utmost of integrity. Harold has a high level of energy and is highly organized and thorough. He is very passionate about what he does and is very experienced in the areas of construction and management.
