April in Cold Lake…

Mother Nature really woke up and said,
“Hmm… what if we just did winter again?”

Up to 5 ½ inches of snow forecasted this week… in APRIL and we’re just sitting here staring at the mountains of snow we already have.

At this point, “spring” feels like a rumour someone started to keep morale up.

We’re officially done with winter. Finished. Over it.

Now we just sit here… waiting… patiently… aggressively… for spring to show up like it said it would.

Any day now… right??

⚠️ Wind Warning for Cold Lake & Area ⚠️

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the M.D. of Bonnyville near Cold Lake and the City of Cold Lake, with west winds gusting up to 90 km/h expected today and into Sunday.

Strong winds may cause:
• Loose objects to be blown around
• Possible power outages
• Damage to fences, roofs, branches, or temporary structures
• Difficult driving conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles

Winds are expected to continue through today, strengthen again overnight, and begin easing Sunday afternoon.

Please use extra caution if you’re out traveling, and continue to monitor updates from Environment Canada.
