Looking to build a carriage house ? In the CVRD or comox valley ? We're here to help.

We typically build one to two carriage homes each year — and they continue to be one of our most popular projects. Most of our clients are families looking to create space for parents or children.

These are generational homes, built to last. These homes are engineered, meeting or exceeding all building code requirements, insulation requirements, and seismic requirements.

From breaking ground to completion, our timeline is typically 6–8 months — foundation to finish. We’re hands-on throughout the entire process and work closely with you every step of the way.

Honoring Truth and Reconciliation Day

On September 30, we recognized the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day provides an important opportunity to reflect on the history and legacy of residential schools in Canada and to honor the survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home.

It is also a time to acknowledge the resilience of Indigenous communities and to commit to learning, listening, and fostering understanding.

As a business, we paused to recognize the significance of this day and encourage reflection on the role we can all play in building respectful relationships and a more inclusive future.

We acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous Peoples. We recognize and respect the enduring presence, culture, and stewardship of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis across this land.

Here are some pictures of a new build we started this month in Comox ! and update below.

An update from the Dragonfly Team. We've been having a busy year so far ! We've almost finished two full houses with two shops, started a third house, and have three more lined up. We've also brought on a new laborer to help us frame up these new homes in the Comox Valley.

We're looking pretty busy, at least until late spring in the new year. Perfect time to start a build, though!

Hope everyone is enjoying the cooler temps and sunny fall weather we have been having. I know we have sure been enjoying it !
