After 28 Years, I’m Saying Goodbye to the Company We Built
In 1997, my partner Frank Perras and I took a leap of faith. We started this company with little more than a shared vision, a lot of grit, and the belief that we could build something meaningful. What followed was a journey that shaped my life in ways I never could have imagined.
Today, after 28 years of ownership, I’m announcing that I’ve made the decision to sell the company.
Frank retired in 2021, and while his departure marked the end of an era, his influence and legacy remain deeply embedded in everything we’ve done. Together, we built more than a business—we built a community, a culture, and a company that helped shape the very landscape of Cornwall and the surrounding region. From residential developments to commercial spaces, industrial facilities to institutional buildings, our projects have become part of the fabric of this area. I’m incredibly proud of the mark we’ve left—not just in concrete and steel, but in the lives and livelihoods those buildings support.
Beyond the bricks and mortar, one of the things I’m most proud of is our commitment to giving back. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of donating to many local charities and community projects—supporting causes that matter, uplifting those in need, and helping build a stronger, more connected region. That spirit of generosity is part of our DNA, and I hope it continues long into the future.
This decision wasn’t easy. This company has been my second home, my passion, and a source of deep pride. But I believe the time is right, and I’m confident that the new owners will carry forward the values and spirit that have defined us from the beginning.
Although I’m stepping away from ownership, I won’t be disappearing. I’ll continue to act as a consultant throughout the transition phase over the next year, helping to ensure a smooth handover and offering guidance wherever it’s needed. My goal is to support the new leadership as they take the reins and continue the legacy we’ve built.
I want to offer a special thank you to my wife and kids. In the early years, when the financial struggles were real and the future was uncertain, they stood by me with unwavering support and patience. Their belief in me never wavered, even when the road was steep. Every late night, every sacrifice, every moment of doubt—they were there. I couldn’t have done this without them, and I’ll never forget what they gave to help make this journey a reality.
To our employees, customers, partners, and friends—thank you. Your trust, loyalty, and belief in us have meant everything. I’m deeply grateful for every moment, every challenge, and every triumph we’ve shared.
Though the chapter is changing, the story continues—and I’ll be here to help write the next few pages.
