One important person in the world of sheet metal was Leonardo da Vinci! Yes, that’s right - “The Renaissance Man”. He drew a sketch dating back to the late 1400s of a rolling mill, which was a source of inspiration for two different rollers; one used to flatten coins, and the other to cut metal sheets into strips.
