Progress is being made at the Arch Long-Term Care Home in Prescott, which will result in 128 beds across a modern four-storey home. Concrete was recently completed on the second level, and the installation of wall panels and ductwork continues. Locals will see work continuing on the upper two floors over the upcoming months.

Congratulations to Stephanie and David Kinnear on the successful opening of the new Ted Laurier Place in Cornwall.

It’s great to see all the hard work and dedication come together in such a beautiful space. We’re excited for residents to begin enjoying their new home!

Ted Laurier is a single-storey, 80,856 sq. ft., 128-bed, long-term care facility, thoughtfully designed by G architects.

Breaking New Ground!

We were thrilled to attend the groundbreaking of the new St. Gregory Catholic School in Picton, ON yesterday. This new elementary school will provide 354 student spaces, 15 learning studios and 5 learning commons. Construction is set to begin this spring.

Congratulations to the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board and the Prince Edward County community on this exciting milestone.

The ALCDSB is excited to officially break ground on the replacement school for St. Gregory Catholic School in Picton!

This exciting milestone brought together students, and their families, staff, trustees, architects, members of the construction team, the Corporation of the County of Prince Edward, and the MPP office for the Bay of Quinte. Fr. George Okoye, Parish Priest of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Parish in Picton gave a blessing to mark the special occasion.

The new school represents a significant investment in the future of Catholic education in our community, providing a modern, welcoming space for students to learn, grow, and thrive.

A big thank you to the Ottawa Construction Association for hosting another excellent Symposium today. Bourgon’s President, Chris Markell, joined fellow industry leaders Shawn Berube of HEIN and Mat Baranowski of PCL Construction to discuss the key challenges currently facing General Contractors across Eastern Ontario.

Moderated by Allessandro Guarna of McDonald Brothers Construction and supported by the General Contractors Association of Ottawa, the panel explored critical topics including health and safety, tariffs, supply chain complexities such as new Buy Ontario and Buy Canada mandates, recent changes to the Construction Act, and how AI is being integrated into the industry.

Completion of Village Green in Napanee, ON - an 84,000 sq. ft., two-storey, 128-bed long-term care and assisted living facility. The project included communal spaces, dining areas, offices, as well as full site servicing and landscaping.

We appreciate the opportunity to work with OMNI Healthcare Limited and G architects on another project.
