Events like this are a great reminder of how important it is for families, friends, and neighbours to spend time together and stay connected through community activities. This funding will help provide families with a “home-away-from-home” while keeping them close during a difficult time. This brand new net zero building, located on South Street in Halifax, NS, provides accommodations, meals and support for families who have to travel more than 40 KM to The IWK Children's Hospital in Halifax for their child's medical needs. No family is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.

I'm happy to share an Atlantic Business Magazine recent feature on the incredible history of the Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce. Did you know the TCCC has been a part of this community for 135 years supporting local businesses, building community, and helping this region grow.

To be able to serve on the Board of Directors during such a milestone year is honestly pretty special. The fact that it’s still moving forward, still relevant, and still helping local businesses thrive after 135 years says something about the strength of this community and it's business leaders.

That’s why being involved with the Chamber matters to me. It’s a chance to give back, to be part of something with real history behind it, but also real momentum into the future.
