Our Regina branch recently replaced a 72” belt for a coal mine customer.

A lot of planning goes into executing belt installations in tricky and hard-to-reach areas.

Toolbox meetings, job plans, lift plans, and JHA’s (Job hazard assessments), etc. are just a few things standard on every Belterra install to make sure things go smoothly and safely.

Congratulations Mike Schoenborn and the whole Regina team for completing this job on time, under budget, and with zero on-site incidents.

One of Belterra’s valued customers recently had some poorly planned and executed work completed by another contractor. 

The customer reached out to Belterra’s Grande Prairie and Edmonton teams to help pick up the pieces and perform a conveyor rebuild. The crew Installed new take-ups and framework, 3 new pulleys, all new bearings and a new belt.

The crew finished the rebuild in a day and a half and had the customer back up and running with minimal downtime.

A Conveyor Belt Technician performs a critical role within Belterra and the entire conveyor belting industry. A Conveyor Belt Technician’s primary duties involve installing, maintaining, and repairing conveyor belts and components at various customer sites.

Conveyor Technicians often run into situations that are out of their control and must adapt and problem-solve to complete their job safely and efficiently.

Our Nanaimo team recently had a large project that included work on 13 conveyor systems. During this job, the telehandler and skid steer broke down and they had to work in 6 inches of snow. This is rare for our island teams. Despite these challenging conditions our team worked together to overcome these setbacks and completed all 13 conveyors under quote for our valued customer.
