Responsibilities

Follow safety regulation, company policies, and guidelines
Fill out daily forklift checklist before operating forklift.
Load wash line with feed stock.
Supply washed material to the extruder lines.
To operate and control material conveying system.
Recycle fines or oversized pellets from material sizing screen
Inspect material for clumps or contamination
Maximize the output while maintaining acceptable product quality
Move the finished product to the storage area and apply the Scale Ticket Label
Maintain a clean work area at all times
Follow plant lock-out procedure during servicing or repair
Should be able to operate all machines, Erema, Guillotine, Wash-line
Cover other Employees during breaks
Maintain housekeeping in working area at all times
Report anything that is unsafe or hazardous to maintenance, supervisor or Plant Manager immediately

Required Skills

High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Read, write, and speak English
Forklift experience is required
Manufacturing, warehouse or production experience

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities shall include:

Install and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment.
Operate mobile equipment used in the repair, installation or fabrication of equipment including but not limited to drills, grinders, hammers, wrenches, blow torches and power tools.
Good fabrication and welding skills,
Able to assemble equipment;
Able to read blueprint;
Experience with aligning equipment, compressed air, pneumatic equipment, conveyor and augur is an asset.
Experience with pumps and hydraulic is an asset.

Follow SOP’s as guidelines for operating and maintaining equipment
A forklift checklist must be completed at the start and end of each shift. Any problems or damage to the forklift must be reported to the lead hand right away.
Start/Stop the machines
Know which products to feed
Fill out production forms
Debag material received using knives
Load material into line
Cut wires using bolt cutters
Keep the area clean by sweeping and shoveling
Report any equipment malfunctions
Report any damage that you are aware of
Report anything that is unsafe or hazardous to maintenance and management immediately.
Other duties as assigned.
