Good News for Construction

Recent data highlights a substantial year-over-year increase in the value of building permits issued by the City of Medicine Hat in 2025. During the first three quarters, building permits totaled over $138 million, compared to $51 million in the same period of 2024. This growth is driven largely by significant projects such as the $67 million Holy Trinity Academy in Cresent Heights, as well as strong activity in multi-family residential developments.

Despite no commercial building permits being issued this year, the higher value per permit has contributed to continued momentum in the local development and construction sectors.
