We are currently looking for a licensed Heavy Equipment Mechanic and or 310T Truck Mechanic.
This is a full-time, permanent position with highly competitive wages (salary or hourly options available), Group Benefits and RRSP matching. A company vehicle and phone are provided. This position would report directly to Management.
You would primarily work from our Feversham location May to December, and our Durham location January to April.
A successful candidate will have a clean drivers abstract. Be a hard-working individual that recognizes the value of safety in the workplace. Have an eye for perfection. Be capable of working in a team environment or individually.
We would like you to have:
• Experience as a mechanic in the aggregate/construction industry
• Experience operating heavy equipment in a safe manner
• Experience with screen plants, wash plants, heavy construction equipment, hydraulic and diesel systems
• Common Core/Surface Minor
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
•
Tasks include but not limited to:
· Inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment
· Perform maintenance and repairs on various equipment
· Ability to work extended hours (up to 12 hours per shift)
· Ability to lift 50 pounds
· Maintain a clean, orderly and safe working environment
· Perform daily pre and post inspections
· Perform general labour duties or other duties as required
· Follow all company policies, procedures and Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
