🏆 AWMAC 2025 – Award of Excellence 🏆
Kent Madsen Memorial Award • People’s Choice
We are proud to announce that Madsen’s Custom Cabinets (1983) Ltd. has received the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada (AWMAC) - Award of Excellence 2025, including the Kent Madsen Memorial Award and People’s Choice, for our work on three distinct projects at Edmonton International Airport (EIA):
✈️ OEB Kitchen & Bar
✈️ Avalon Cocktail Bar
✈️ Wheels Up Burgers & BBQ
Each project demanded exceptional coordination tight timelines, complex airport logistics, and uncompromising design and fabrication standards made possible through true collaboration between all teams involved.
Delivering three restaurant builds within an unprecedented 12-week window, from demolition start (September 23) to substantial completion and occupancy (December 16), is an achievement we are incredibly proud of, especially within the constraints of an active international airport.
We would like to specifically thank Tri-Stad Construction for their leadership and ex*****on as General Contractor, and CKDESIGN Licensed Interior Design for their outstanding design work and collaboration throughout the project.
This recognition is deeply meaningful to us, honoring craftsmanship, ex*****on, and teamwork at the highest level, while carrying forward the legacy of Kent Madsen.
