Job Summary:

The responsibilities of the Concrete Foreman/ woman include overseeing the performance of concrete form workers, finishers, laborers, and ensuring that work is completed as per project and company standards.

Able to coordinate project materials and resources as well as oversee the safe use of equipment and tools.

Position Requirements:

 Formwork Foreman/woman - 5+ years of concrete construction experience in building: sidewalks, ramps, aprons, grade beams, pile caps, pads and slabs
 Finishing Foreman/woman - 5+ years of concrete construction experience in finishing: sidewalks, ramps, aprons, grade beams, pile caps, pads and slabs
 CSTS-09 with WHIMIS
 Valid Class 5 driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean drivers’ abstract
 First aid and other training certificates are considered an asset

Position Responsibilities:

• Correctly consult and interpret drawings and specifications to ensure that concrete structures are accurately places and installed
• Overseeing all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing
• Dividing concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluating how much labor and materials are required for each stage
• Resolving all problems that may affect project quality and completion
• Delegating tasks to concrete laborers and providing overall guidance
• Maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked and the amount of materials used for each project
• Ensuring that formwork and shoring are erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineering designs and drawings
• Inspecting concrete after the formwork and shoring have been removed and instructing concrete laborers on how to correct defects and concrete roughness

Responsibilities:

Operate a variety of concrete cutting equipment for interior and exterior construction
Routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
Qualifications and Certification:

Must have a valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
2+ years experience in concrete cutting
CSTS-09, WHMIS

Summary of Position:
We are looking to add to our team experienced concrete labourers. Under the direction of a Superintendent or Foreman/lead you will support the crew by performing strenuous labour tasks such as removing concrete, lifting asphalt and using hand tools as required.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Set up job sites
• Load and unload trucks
• Remove concrete and Asphalt using tools
• Use manual digging when tools are not practical
• Addition tasks as assigned by field management
Qualifications, Education and Certification:
• Physically fit and capable of strenuous manual labour
• Experience in construction or working with concrete is an asset
• Valid CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020 with WHIMIS
• Valid Fall Protection and Confined Space Training certificate is considered an asset

Applying waterproofing and sealant to protect the concrete work
Monitoring the material to ensure it hardens to a durable finish
