For years, I watched my husband progress from labourer to boarder to Wall & Ceiling Journeyman—and we heard it all:
“Just a labourer”
“Just a drywaller.”
“Just a taper.”
“Just a fill in the blank”
But listen to tradespeople talk shop, and unless you’re in the industry, you may not understand half of what they’re saying.
There’s a whole language behind every trade. It’s built on years of skill, problem-solving and hands-on experience. That expertise is why quality work costs what it does.
A little shout-out to all the trades: they deserve far more credit than they’re often given.
Having “just a drywaller” in my family has come in very handy.😉
