The Desco team had a fantastic time at the Edmonton Construction Association's first golf tournament of the season, hosted at the spectacular Blackhawk Golf Club! Representing Desco were Daryl, Chris, and Adam Samycia, who spent a great day on the course networking with over 140 of our industry peers.

Over the past 10 years, one of our standout projects was the polished concrete application completed in 2016 at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology within the CAT Building. We had the opportunity to work alongside Clark Builders on this project, delivering a deep grind polished concrete finish that showcased both durability and craftsmanship.

This project became an important milestone for our team, as it went on to receive an international polished concrete project award an achievement we are incredibly proud of.

Back when trucks were indestructible lol… A blast from the past our 1970s Chevrolet Desco pickup truck, once driven by former foreman Bill Mazur, captured on its way to a job site in Jasper National Park. Bill pulled over to snap this picturesque shot, showcasing not just the beauty of Alberta’s landscapes, but also the hard work and dedication that have driven Desco for decades.

Back in the day, these trucks were the workhorses of our crew transporting tools, equipment, material, and hardworking teams to job sites across the province.
