Headed out.

🔥 Hot Waxing Jeff’s New Mini Anvil 🔥

Hot wax, fresh steel, and one seriously good-looking little anvil.

Hand forged at Shawn Cunningham in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. 🇨🇦

This one started life as two 5 lb pieces of 2.5” diameter 1045 steel. After forging the base and top to shape, they were welded together through the waist, then hardened and tempered for real work.

The body was left with its forged texture, while the face and horn were ground and polished smooth—finished with that beautiful golden temper oxide left right on the steel.

Built to work. Finished to be admired.

A little anvil with a lot of attitude. 🔨🔥

Hand forged anvil #18 in this series.

Forged from two pieces of 2.5” diameter 1045 steel, then welded, ground, polished ,hardened and tempered for real work.

This little beast finished out at 8 lbs 1 oz (3,650 grams) — small enough for the bench, but built to earn its keep.

Made to be worked hard, but honestly… it looks pretty damn good just sitting in a collection too.

Garden Rounder 🔨

3 lb rounding hammer, forged as part of a 14-hammer order for a customer.

Forged from 4140 and differentially hardened and tempered. Finished with that beautiful 1-micron layer of gold oxide from the tempering process, showing off the polished steel underneath.
