Guardian Economy Weekly Update
Hello everyone,
It's been a busy week for me, especially with the growing conversations around Alberta's future and the Alberta independence movement.
One thing I've come to realize is that many of the community-building ideas we've been discussing would be much easier to finance and develop if Alberta had greater control over its own future. Whether people support independence, autonomy, or simply more local decision-making, I believe Albertans should have a stronger voice in shaping the rules that affect our communities.
For years I've been working on ideas that focus on practical solutions: earth-sheltered housing, local food production, nearby employment opportunities, and reducing unnecessary transportation costs. It's interesting that we hear so much about sustainability and emissions reduction, yet many simple solutions remain difficult to implement.
By building differently, producing food closer to home, and creating communities designed around local employment, I believe we could dramatically reduce emissions while improving quality of life. More importantly, it simply makes sense.
I've spoken with bankers, development officers, and many everyday Albertans. The response is often the same:
"That's a good idea."
The challenge isn't the idea itself. The challenge is funding.
That's why Guardian Economy continues to focus on grassroots support. Rather than relying on large institutions, we're building from the ground upāone member at a time.
What originally inspired me to start this company was recognizing that there were gaps in the current system. I wanted to create an organization designed to empower ordinary people and give communities more control over their own future. My goal has always been to help create practical solutions that improve opportunity, affordability, and resilience for future generations.
Today, our focus remains simple:
Growing our membership base so we can continue advancing our vision of earth-sheltered communities, local food systems, and stronger, more self-reliant communities.

I hope your children and loved ones spoil you, even if it's just for one day. Your guidance, sacrifice, and hard work help shape the next generation, and that deserves recognition.
