As homeowners, we’re becoming more energy conscious. Over the last 2 years we’ve spent more time at home. And as a result, there has been a significant increase in energy usage, our gas and electric bills have gone up. 📈 So... will you have to put on a sweater or turn down the A/C? Not necessarily – with a few fixes, you can have your cake and eat it, too!
Start by installing energy-efficient appliances. These fridges, washers, furnaces, etc., do the same job as their predecessors but use less power and gas. ⚡🔥 whoo hoo! Secondly, consider installing better windows, doors, and/or insulation. If coolness/heat doesn’t escape your house, your A/C/furnace won’t have to work hard. 👍
But all this requires an up-front investment. Great news, you can spend less and still achieve your goals of having Energy-efficient improvements! The Energy Efficiency Alberta’s (EEA) Home Improvement REBATE PROGRAM can help with that. You can SAVE up to $1,500 on new windows, $1,000 on tankless water heaters, $3,500 on insulation, and more! 😍
You can even save on the cost of solar panels through The Residential and Commercial Solar Program – how cool is that? 🌞
