This month we'd like to recognize a member of our office staff for the brilliant work he's done since joining our team.

This worker is a proper team player, always willing to lend a hand wherever it's needed. He's kept a key part of our operations running like clockwork, vendors chased, orders placed, and never once losing his cool. Well, almost never! Someone did make the big mistake of nicking his ruler this week, and there was nearly a formal investigation!

He also holds the office record for the most times asked: "Sorry, what was that?" It turns out a proper English accent doesn't always translate in Fort Macleod. But we wouldn't have it any other way.

This is someone who shows up, does the work, and does it well. And that doesn't go unnoticed.

Every workplace has that one person who just quietly keeps everything running. They don't ask for recognition, they don't make a fuss, they just show up, do the work and make everyone else's job a little easier.

This month's winner is exactly that kind of person. They're out in the yard every day keeping things organized and making sure our automation equipment stays fed and running. The kind of work they do is the kind you only really notice when it doesn't get done, and thanks to them, we never have to find out what that looks like.

Now, some of you might already be able to guess who I'm talking about, and here's your hint: this person has a very unique relationship with Alberta weather. Plus 30? No problem. Minus 30? Still no problem. Blizzard rolling in off the Rockies? Barely worth mentioning. While the rest of us are buried under three layers and complaining about the cold, this person is out there operating equipment like it's a pleasant Tuesday in July.

Honestly, it's become its own kind of morale boost around here. Hard to grumble about the weather when you look over and see someone in short sleeves who doesn't even blink.

Reliable. Consistent. Completely unbothered by Alberta winters.
