On May 31, 2026, our team will be participating in the MS Walk Cape Breton in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

This cause is especially meaningful to us, as two members of our work family are living with MS. We see firsthand the strength and challenges that come with this disease, and we’re walking to show our support.

Our goal is to raise $5,000, and we need our community’s help to get there. Every donation big or small helps fund critical MS research, support programs, and advocacy efforts.

This Mother’s Day, we’re recognizing the incredible women who bring strength, care, and support to every part of life at home, in the workplace, and throughout our communities. At DKI - Meco Construction, restoration is at the heart of what we do, rebuilding, strengthening, and showing up when it matters most and we see that same resilience every day in mothers raising babies, teenagers, and grown children; grandmothers, stepmothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, and bonus moms; single moms doing it all; moms-to-be waiting with hope and love; women who have loved and nurtured like a mother without the title; those missing their mothers today or carrying the memory of a child in their hearts; and the dog moms, cat moms, chosen moms, and caregivers who give unconditional love every single day.

Thank you for everything you do, seen and unseen. Your strength, compassion, and care make a lasting impact every single day.

We are proud to support the Teal to Heal - Unama'ki Cape Breton walk in support of gynecological cancer awareness and care.

This important event helps raise awareness, fund research, and support individuals and families affected by gynecological cancers.

Together, we can make a difference by standing with survivors, honoring loved ones, and bringing hope to those currently fighting.

We are honoured to be part of a community that comes together for such a meaningful cause. Every step taken helps support education, advocacy, and life-saving research.

May is Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Month

At DKI - Meco Construction, this month holds special meaning for our team. We’re proud to stand alongside two of our own employees who live with MS every day, showing resilience, strength, and determination both on and off the job.

MS is a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system, and while it can present many challenges, it does not define the people who live with it. This month is an opportunity to raise awareness, support ongoing research, and recognize the experiences of those impacted.

To our team members living with MS, we see you, we support you, and we’re inspired by you.

Let’s continue to build a workplace and community rooted in understanding, inclusion, and support.
