Fun fact: Did you know that this uncomplicated piece of material handling equipment is over 100 years old? Amazingly, it hasn’t really changed that much in all these years!

“About now, in the late winter and early spring months, is the ideal time to cut and split firewood for next winter’s heating.


We wanted to share something with you all that had worked wonderfully for us!

We made these firewood racks out of used pallet racking which has been perfect for drying our firewood. They are very sturdy, stackable, allowing for maximum exposure of the drying wood, and they hold a cord of firewood each.


Another advantage of using this ‘retired’ industrial metal is that, through repurposing them, we kept them for landfill destinations. In doing so, it saves the environment while meeting a need for our family.

We load them on the ground and lift the filled racks with the forks of our tractor to stack them."

Repurposed pallet racking makes a perfect firewood rack for stacking and drying firewood by the cord.

Ok, y'all know this already, but we'd like to emphasize the importance of essential safety wear in the workplace.

The bottom line is this: each of us only has one body. If we're careless with it, we'll have to live - or die - with the consequences.

If we misuse it, we may lose it... A casual attitude toward safety can easily end up being a casualty!

In short, chance takers are accident makers! This is why personal protection and essential safety wear can't be over-emphasized. So, 'always wear your safety gear, so you can work without any fear'.
