Yesterday, we hosted another Skilled Trades Lunch, giving us a chance to catch up with students, meet some new faces, and hear how things are going in their programs.

Through our partnership with Northwestern Polytechnic and the CDN Electrical Education Centre, we're proud to play a small part in supporting the next generation of skilled tradespeople. It's always great hearing from students about what they're learning and what they're looking forward to as they get started in the trades.

Kolten Dion has been doing both at CDN for nearly 15 years. He started as a parts helper in the shop and has since become an Electrical Journeyperson, building experience across electrical, instrumentation, QA/QC and Major Projects along the way.

Through it all, Kolten has become someone people can count on, learn from and look to for guidance. He’s always willing to share what he knows and help the people around him get better.

Jeff has built his career in the oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on building connections and working alongside clients and teams.

Turns out, a 200,000-pound plane moves pretty well with the right team behind it.

Our crew hit the tarmac for the United Way of Calgary and Area Plane Pull, putting some teamwork (and muscle) to the test and raising over $5,000 for a great cause.

Thanks to everyone who supported our team. And to our crew who did the pulling, we hope your legs have recovered.
