We are proud to serve the communities of Grande Prairie, Clairmont, Grande Cache, Valleyview, Fox Creek, Falher, Fairview, Rycroft, Laglace, Hythe, and Beaverlodge. Since 1937, New Horizon Co-op has been dedicated to serving Grande Prairie and the Peace Country Area. As a community-based organization, we strive to support local not-for-profits and provide exceptional service to our loyal customers

We have 9 grocery locations to serve you, including Downtown and Trader Ridge in Grande Prairie, Rycroft, LaGlace Pantry Store, Valleyview, Grande Cache, Falher, Beaverlodge, and Hythe. In addition, we operate a hardware store in Falher and have 6 gas bars in Grande Prairie (Downtown, Royal Oaks, Westgate, Stoneridge, Trader Ridge, and Derrick) plus one in Hythe. Each location features touchless car washes (except Derrick & Hythe), full-service fuel pumps, and a great selection of convenience items. We also offer 4 liquor stores: 2 in Grande Prairie (Trader & Stoneridge), one in Valleyview, and one in Hythe, with a selection available at LaGlace Pantry Store. Our 6 bulk plants and cardlock facilities are located in Clairmont, Grande Prairie, Valleyview, Fairview, Rycroft, and Fox Creek. We’re back with our Hythe Fuel Good Day recipient the Hythe Community centre.
The Hythe Community Centre is dedicated to bringing people together and creating connection throughout the community by hosting a variety of services, events, clubs, and more.
We spoke with Jesse O’Connell, Facility Administrator at the Hythe Community Centre, who shared more about the organization, the incredible community they serve, and what Fuel Good Day means to them.

In honour of National Dog Day, Michelle, Taylor, Jordan, Darlene, Rick, Dennis, Jody, Sarah, Dustin (not pictured), and Yvonne (not pictured) stopped by Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association to meet some of their adorable furry residents and lend a helping hand.

As part of the visit, we donated a $500 Co-op gift card to help with the ongoing supply need at the rescue. We also had the opportunity to take all of these adorable faces out for walks to help burn off some energy (and of course lots of cuddles on our end).

In the back we helped out with laundry and cleaning so all the animals could have clean bedding and dishes.

If you're looking for a meaningful way to give back, we highly encourage signing up to volunteer with Bandaged Paws. This amazing organization helps care for and rehome animals in need, and volunteers play a vital role in supporting both the animals and the hardworking people behind the scenes.

Donations are another wonderful way to help. While pet food is always needed, Bandaged Paws is also in need of items such as cat litter, cones, surgery suits, and cleaning supplies like bleach, laundry detergent and disposable gloves.
