40 years in business doesn't happen by accident.HWD Construction has been building across Northern Alberta for four decades. And the people who built it with them? A lot of them are still here. That kind of loyalty doesn't come from a ping pong table. It comes from a culture where the work is good, the leadership is solid, and people are treated right.

One of the biggest obstacles in commercial construction is the gap between design and ex*****on.
You approve drawings from one team, then hand them to another. By the time it reaches the field, something's been lost in translation. At HWD, we eliminated that gap. Our team handles the design and the build. Same people, same communication, start to finish. It makes the whole process smoother for our clients. And it shows in the finished product.

Every builder has that one project they're proud of. For Glenn Penner, it's the Rentco building. He'll tell you there's something about that one that sticks with you. The kind of job where everything came together the way it's supposed to. Where you step back when it's done and think, yeah, we built that.

Spent Saturday at the Grande Prairie Construction Association golf tournament, best weather of the year so far. Thank you to the golfers and sponsors who were there and contributed to a near sell out this year to help us continue to advocate for Construction trades in and around Grande Prairie.

The Peace Region isn't just where Glenn Penner works. It's home.
For decades, he's watched this region grow, change, and push through tough times. And through all of it, HWD Construction has been here, doing the work.
There's something different about building in a place you genuinely care about. Every project isn't just a contract. It's a contribution to the community you raised your family in, your neighbors, your backyard.

HWD Construction has been in the field long enough to know what it actually takes and that knowledge saves clients time, money, and headaches before the first nail is driven.

The best investment you can make in this industry is in the people coming up behind you.
