Job Posting: General Labourer – Water & Fire Damage Restoration

Location: DKI Sudbury 875 Notre dame

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime and after-hours work as required)

Must be on call rotation (after hours pay and on call pay)

Company Overview:

We are a growing restoration company specializing in water and fire damage services. Our team is dedicated to providing fast, reliable, and high-quality work to help clients recover from property damage. We are currently looking for a hardworking and reliable General Labourers and Carpenters to join our crew.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with restoration and cleanup of properties affected by water or fire damage

Removal of damaged materials and debris

Operate basic restoration and construction tools

Assist with demolition, drying, cleaning, and sanitizing affected areas

Load and unload equipment and supplies

Follow safety protocols and company procedures

Maintain cleanliness of job sites and equipment

Respond to emergency calls and after-hours work when needed

Rebuild property as per removals.

Requirements:

Previous experience in water and fire damage restoration preferred

Must possess a valid G2 Class Driver’s License and proof of insurance

Must have own general hand tools and CSA-approved steel-toe boots

Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and equipment

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing job demands

Good communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to work overtime and be on-call for after-hours emergencies

Weekly advice to prevent insurance claims.
Spring thaw and your home:
You can reduce the risk of your house or business flooding by making sure there aren’t any snow piles obstructing the flow of water away from your property and by clearing the snow from around the foundation, off the roof, and from window wells. This also means clearing your gutters and downspouts to make sure they are free of debris, so that water can flow off your roof and away from the foundation. Additionally, consider installing a sump pump in the basement to protect from flooding and test it to make sure it is working properly before snow begins to melt. Remember that these machines require electricity to operate, so consider having an alternative power source on hand in the event of a power outage.
