We are currently seeking shop/field welders
Steady days
9-12 hour shifts
Wage will depend on experience
Education:
- High school graduation diploma or at least 1 year equivalent work experience.
Tasks:
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- custom fabrication
- Multi pass fillet welds
- arc air gouging
- Must be CWB certified all position, Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
- field experience is an asset
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
- Fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Standing for extended periods
Weight handling:
- Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Own tools/equipment:
- Steel-toed safety boots
- Welding helmet
