Throughout her career, she has introduced innovative ideas, strengthened key operational functions, and played an integral role in the company’s growth and success.

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Danny Johnston in the early morning of April 8th after a long and private battle with cancer. Danny spent his last two weeks enjoying the sunshine and family time in one of his favourite places; Naples Florida.
From a young age Danny had a passion for business. He took immense pride in the work that conveyor belt technicians do. Starting as a technician at 21 years old, he shortly became a partner at the company. After 12 years; in 1985 he opened Dunrite Rubber & Plastic with a vision to improve the standard treatment and support for both our technicians and clients alike.
Over his career, Danny continued to evolve the products and services Dunrite offers. Today, after almost 40 years Dunrite continues to thrive with three services branches throughout Ontario, expanded into Specialty Coatings (DSC), custom urethane molding (DSU), and manufacturing of conveyor idlers (Rite Idler).

As we move forward into the next generation it is our mission to further Danny’s legacy and desire to provide quality products, services, and workplace to employees and to clients in the bulk material handling industry.

Our hearts are broken but we will continue to cherish the memories of a great Husband, father, grandfather, and mentor.

Cold Vulcanizing
Pulley Lagging (cold)
Mechanical Clips
Scraper Maintenance
Certifications & Training
Must have MOL H&S Awareness in 3 steps

Beneficial but not necessary:

Scott Air Pack
Working at Heights/Fall Arrest,
Boom/Scissor Lift
First Aid
We are looking for hard working candidates who show initiative and values working as a team player.

All Candidates must be willing to work extended hours and be on call.

Must be willing to travel for work

Must have a valid drivers license and provide abstract

Dunrite Hamilton & Rite Idler is hosting our Annual Holiday Food Drive for the month of December. This year we are supporting Hamilton Food Share.

We will be collecting both food and monetary donations. Any monetary donations submitted to us for Hamilton Food Share will be matched by Dunrite.

If you would like to Donate, please stop in and drop off donations at our office (between the two doors, keeping in mind all of our Covid protocols), or send us a PM and we will try and make alternate arrangements.
