Our Story
With sites from coast to coast, and a proven track record spanning more then 40 years, Marathon Underground Constructors Corporation has been a strong presence within the industry in both the environmental and geotechnical sectors. Their approach is consultative, working in conjunction with professional engineers to develop practical and effective drilling programs for many private and public sector clients. Quality control and service are among their top priorities. Guaranteed performance by experienced professional staff. Projects are quoted on an hourly or per project basis. All machines are up to date and maintained by in-house heavy mechanics - keeping downtime to a minimum. Marathon's environmental division specializes in environmental investigations and the installation of monitoring and remediation wells. Using the latest v***r extraction technology, and innovative leachate/groundwater pumping and testing equipment, Marathon has helped to successfully decontaminate many problem soil and groundwater sites throughout Ontario and Québec, with full compliance with environmental regulations. Because of their commitment to the protection of the natural environment, Marathon is constantly searching for, and developing innovative processes that can be applied to both soils and groundwater investigations and remediation. With the increased number of contaminated site investigations, Marathon has recognized the requirement to properly train and educate its personnel in the proper protocol to follow while working with hazardous materials. Staff are experienced in many areas of industrial hygiene measurement, spill and leak control, protective equipment selection and use, level A, B, C and D protective gear, confined space entry and operation procedures, personnel and equipment decontamination, first aid and basic emergency training. Marathon combines practical, all-terrain experience with technical expertise to provide high-calibre service to all clients. Marathon invites inquiries from around the world, and is interested in joint ventures and strategic alliances.
