KuBank - Designed for Safe and Reliable C&I Operation

In C&I energy storage projects, system safety and risk management are central to system design. KuBank addresses these requirements with a comprehensive fire safety concept that detects, contains, and mitigates risks at an early stage.

Multi-level detection: Temperature, smoke, and combustible gas sensors enable early identification of abnormal conditions, including early indicators of thermal runaway across cell, pack, and cabinet levels.

Integrated suppression: An aerosol-based system, engineered for battery and electrical fire scenarios, activates automatically when gas concentrations exceed 20% LEL, releasing fire-suppressing agents to contain the event and minimize damage.
Continuous monitoring and fast alarm transmission enable rapid response.

KuBank combines early detection, automatic response, and system integration to support safe, long-term operation in C&I applications, giving EPCs and asset owners confidence, with continuous system safety.

Optimised Rooftop Solar for Commercial Buildings

The Cross Place Solar PV project Bryanston, South Africa is a strong example of how smart engineering and high‑performance technology come together to deliver value for commercial buildings, designed to optimise self‑consumption, maximise energy savings, and minimise the payback period.

This 286.44 kWp rooftop system integrates 462 Canadian Solar bifacial TOPCon TOPBiHiKu6 CS6.2‑66TB modules, mounted on a racking structure with a 15° tilt. This configuration is engineered to maximise self‑cleaning while benefiting from backside albedo reflection from the white Klip‑Lok roof, boosting overall system performance.

Optimised inter‑row spacing eliminates winter shading, while an innovative parallel roof‑seam tilt enables a true‑north azimuth orientation for enhanced energy yield, all within the structural and wind‑loading constraints of the 15‑metre‑high building. The TOPBiHiKu6 CS6.2‑66TB modules feature a glass‑glass design for enhanced durability and hail resistance up to 35 mm, ensuring long‑term reliability backed by a 30‑year performance warranty.

We thank SEM Solutions (Pty) Ltd and everyone involved for the strong collaboration and smooth ex*****on on site.
