✨Has it really been five years already? ✨
Back in 2020, Jake and Corey joined the EFP Engineering team and they’ve been part of the heart of our firm ever since.
Jake has been managing our technical production with dedication and precision, and we’re thrilled to share that he’s just accepted a new role as Lead Technical Designer & BIM Manager. His leadership ensures our projects stay on track and deliver exceptional results.
Corey, now a proud P.Eng. with Engineers Nova Scotia, continues to excel in his role as Mechanical Engineering Coordinator, delivering practical and efficient solutions for our clients and partners.
Together, Jake and Corey have been instrumental to EFP’s growth and success, and we couldn’t be prouder to celebrate not only their professional milestones but also the impact they’ve made on our team culture.

In any multi-unit residential building, the mechanical and electrical systems intertwine throughout the building’s construction. One of the most interesting ways to view a project is to peel away the structural and architectural elements and look only at these systems in isolation.
The 3D isometric image below shows this view as a network of ducts, pipes, conduits, and equipment. Similar to a body’s circulatory or nervous system, these elements move air, water, and electricity wherever it is needed to support the building’s function.

As the summer sun begins to set, what better way to celebrate the season than with a bit of friendly competition? EFP Engineering did just that with our third annual Employee Golf Tournament, held at Indian Lake Golf Course.

It was heartwarming to see the team spirit and sportsmanship displayed by all participants. Whether a seasoned golfer or a first-timer, everyone gave their best shot.

Congratulations to Alec, Jake, and Corey for their outstanding performance and taking home the trophy!

Congratulations to Northpoint Properties and Lindsay Construction for breaking ground on the new multi-residential complex development at South Park & Inglis Street in Halifax!

EFP Engineering Limited has provided full mechanical and electrical design services on this 7-storey development and will continue our support through construction.

We are so excited to be part of the growth of residential housing coming to Halifax and working with this incredible team to make their vison come alive.

This past month Nathaniel returned to EFP for his second work term, previously completing a 4-month work term with us this past summer. He is a fourth year Mechanical Engineering student currently attending Dalhousie University, looking to gain additional experience with our team.
