SUCCESS!!! At last! Second test on my rotomolder and got a pretty good part out tonight. On this night the proof on concept is confirmed. Thank you to all who sent me good vibes on "thumbs up"s. Took almost 10 months to get this setup working.
On to the next steps. I feel like a needed a good little victory. It's been a long time coming.

The yellow part on the picture is hollow shell to be filled with a special epoxy mix. My customer will install electronic monitoring devices on the top end of the unit to track tagged fish to study their migration patterns. It is to protect the equipment from trawler fishing net. I haven't been posting much lately for good reasons; I've been busy! I've been developing a rotomolder for casting hollow plastic shells. It's a smaller version of machines used to make stuff like kayaks. This one has a rotating oven to melt powdered polyethylene plastic. Compared to conventional machines, this one only takes a small area and features a compact oven to minimize wasted heat/power. It's finally ready for testing. More details to come.
