We're proud to see the homes built through our Housing Construction Council programs making a real difference in communities across the province!

Three homes constructed by participants in our training programs have been transported to West Dalhousie, where they will provide much-needed housing for local residents.

Jamie Borden watched Wednesday as his family’s new home was lowered onto their property in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley. The house was built as part of a community-led program to help those impacted by the Long Lake wildfire last year.

Some people move mountains— Jessica Ward moves houses! 🏠

Thanks to her incredible coordination, dedication, and countless behind-the-scenes efforts, Musketeer, Hammer Time & Cornelius the Third are one step closer to welcoming home their families in West Dalhousie, Nova Scotia.

Jessica has been the glue holding a million moving pieces together (and probably surviving on coffee and determination along the way!).

We are so grateful for her leadership, hard work, and unwavering commitment to this meaningful project.

Thank you, Jessica Ward, for helping turn hope into homes 🧡🩵💚

Swipe to see the transformation! 👀➡️🏠

Just a few months ago, these homes were at the start of their story. Now, the first three homes built by the 19 graduates of our Modular Housing Construction Fundamentals (MHCF) and Tiny Home Construction Finishing Fundamentals (THCFF) programs in Lawrencetown have been completed and delivered to the community of West Dalhousie.

From foundation to finish, learners gained hands-on experience, developed valuable skills, and earned industry-recognized microcredentials while building these homes.

We're incredibly proud of this cohort and the lasting impact of their work. Congratulations to our 19 graduates on this remarkable achievement! 🎉

A heartfelt thank you to our valued partners for helping make this project possible: MLA David Bowlby, Roy Hodder Enterprises, Moody’s Crane Rentals, West Dalhousie Community Hall, and Lawrencetown Education Centre (LEC). We’re also grateful to the West Dalhousie community for your support and warm welcome throughout this journey. 💙

Congratulations to the graduates of our Modular Housing Construction Fundamentals (MHCF) and Tiny Home Construction Finishing Fundamentals (THCFF) programs in Lawrencetown!

Over the past several months, students gained hands-on experience in housing construction while building complete, net-zero-ready tinyhomes. Along the way, they developed valuable skills, earned industry-recognized microcredentials, and took important steps toward careers in the skilled trades.

The impact of their work extends far beyond the training site. The homes built through these programs are now being transported to the community of West Dalhousie, thanks to our partnership with Valley Rotary Clubs!

We are incredibly proud of this graduating class and the work they have accomplished. The skills they have developed are already making a difference, helping build housing and support communities across Nova Scotia.

Congratulations to all our graduates! We can't wait to see what comes next!
