🚧 Another successful demo with the City of Toronto Water Department!

Yesterday, Matthew Morgado completed a live training and product demonstration in one of Toronto’s busiest intersections. 🏙️

The manhole had been generating ongoing complaints from local residents and was causing a major heave in the roadway, creating safety and accessibility concerns for the community.

⚠️Despite the high-traffic location, the team was in and out before lunch, completing the repair and reopening the road the same day. ⏱️

✅ Permanent repair
✅ Minimal disruption
✅ Roadway restored for the community

This is what efficient infrastructure repair looks like; solving the problem quickly, safely, and for the long term. 💪

Matthew Morgado recently completed a live repair demo on Metrolinx property in a high-traffic Toronto area. 🏗️

The issue: there was no procedure or product in place to hold the frame securely in position, leading to failure under constant heavy traffic. ⚠️

The repair was complete within a couple of hours and had the area reopened to heavy Toronto traffic before the morning was done. 🛠️🚛

🚀 Investing in Our Future Growth

Over the summer, Da-Lee Pavement Products has made several significant investments in our plant and equipment as we continue to build for the future. 🏭

With rapid growth over the past few years, we’ve remained focused on improving operations, increasing capacity, and maintaining the high standards of quality and service our customers expect. ✅

Some of the recent improvements include:

🔹 Expanded production units, increasing both storage capacity and available floor space.
🔹 Upgraded robotic palletizing system, now able to handle multiple bucket types while significantly improving the speed and efficiency of pallet production.
🔹 Enhanced liquid dispensing system, increasing capacity from one barrel at a time to four, supporting a continuous production process with fewer unnecessary stoppages.

These investments are about more than new equipment, they’re about building the capacity, reliability, and infrastructure needed for our next stage of growth. 📈

Matt Kinson recently demonstrated an efficient catch basin installation in West Seneca. Traditionally, the process involves pouring concrete first, followed by a separate crew returning later to complete the paving.

This time, our team completed the entire installation with one crew, and the area was open to traffic instantly. ✅

For municipalities with a smaller road network, hot-applied mastic may not be practical due to the equipment, crew requirements, and volume needed to justify a project.
